CLARKSVILLE, TN – BizVets Connect is preparing to launch its first event dedicated to recognizing several local organizations that strive to support the community of Clarksville, in particular its veterans and their families.

The celebration will occur on Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the William O. Beach Civic Hall, 350 Pageant Lane Suite 201, near the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.

BizVets Connect is an organization dedicated to furthering the efforts of Clarksville’s small businesses in unorthodox yet effective ways; unlike nearly every other network organization, BizVets Connect does not charge membership fees.

While BizVets Connect was created with an initial focus on veteran-owned and veteran-friendly businesses, it has recently expanded its efforts to support the community as a whole, because a healthy community helps everyone, regardless of their situation. This upcoming event builds upon this idea by highlighting to the world, four outstanding organizations that strive to improve the lives of Clarksville’s citizens, not for the sake of recognition, but because it is simply the right thing to do.

However, just because these organizations do not actively seek to be noticed for the good that they do, does not mean that they couldn’t benefit from having their community and community leaders see them recognized. In a show of support, several BizVets businesses have stepped forward to cate or otherwise support this event. In true BizVets fashion, this event is free to attend, though those who wish to come for dinner should register at Eventbrite (BizVets Connect Local Hero Recognition Celebration Registration, Tue, Aug 16, 2022 at 6:00 PM | Eventbrite)
